Support Local Columbia Heights Families

Violent raids in our community have severely impacted hundreds of families. Masked gunmen have broken into homes, crashed into cars, and captured hundreds of people. Many of those taken were the main income earners in their households. Eight children have been taken as well. Businesses are failing. This trauma has forced people to stay indoors.

  • Going to work is unsafe.
  • Going to school is unsafe.
  • Going to church is unsafe.
  • Going to the store is unsafe.

These families are struggling to pay rent, buy food, buy medicine, and get transportation. Kids with captured parents are suffering the most.

Over $300K distributed!

Columbia Heights is a generous community that takes care of each other. This fund supports the schools, churches, and community organizations that are providing care for the children and families in crisis. Thanks to people like you, this fund has distributed over $300,000 for rent and food to families in our community to date. We are so grateful to all of you who have made that possible!

Many of those who are captured are released. But after being absent from work for weeks or months, it is extremely difficult to rebuild their lives and recover financially. We are attempting to give these families enough runway to get back on their feet, stay in their homes, and get back to their jobs.

Your generosity is changing the world!

Requests for aid continue to grow every day, currently exceeding $1,000,000. Our community can not possibly meet that need without your help. Please continue to share this fundraiser with our friends around the globe! Your gifts are saving lives, feeding kids, and keeping families in their homes.
