Fireworks fill the night sky behind illuminated carnival rides in Columbia Heights, MN.
Carnival rides along Jefferson Street during the Jamboree.

Keep the Columbia Heights Jamboree green as a Zero Waste volunteer! Each summer the Columbia Heights Lions Club hosts this city-wide festival, complete with sports tournaments, a medallion hunt, a car show, a parade, a beer garden, a carnival, and much more!

HeightsNEXT volunteers are garbage guides for the carnival, directing recycling and compost to their proper bins. This simple assistance teaches people that not all garbage needs to go in a landfill.

Columbia Heights Jamboree Volunteering

The Columbia Heights Jamboree carnival is typically the last Thursday through Sunday of June. Volunteering is extremely simple, so organizing usually takes place via phone or email. No planning meetings are needed.

2021 time slots are listed on the city’s Refuse & Recycling: Jamboree Volunteer Sign Up Sheet

You’ll make the most difference by volunteering on Saturday night.
